rs01_sm.jpg (1716 Byte) Here is a view of Hora Naxos from a processed SPOT-P satellite image.
rs02_sm.jpg (1938 Byte) The city of Mytilene as seen from the two satellites LANDSAT-TM and SPOT-P (composite image).
rs03_sm.jpg (1682 Byte) Here is an aerial photography of Koronida of Naxos.
Two Landsat-TM images of show the effects of a fire that raged across the island of Lesbos in May 1992:
rs04_sm.jpg (1606 Byte) Before the fire (5/3/92)
rs05_sm.jpg (1505 Byte) After the fire (6/6/92)
Sea and surface temperature maps as measured by AVHRR NOAA14:
rs06_sm.gif (3511 Byte) May 1997
rs07_sm.gif (3187 Byte) July 1997
These AVHRR NOAA14 images show the transport of dust from the Sahara Desert to Europe between 9/8/97 and 10/8/97.
rs08_sm.gif (3196 Byte) 9/8/97
rs09_sm.gif (3415 Byte) 10/8/97
rs10_sm.jpg (2586 Byte) Land cover classification of the island of Lesvos (generated from Landsat TM image).
rs11_sm.jpg (2366 Byte) Enhanced Landsat TM image of the island of Santorini There are three visible spectral bands rendered with natural colors to provide a display close to the natural view of the human eye. General perpose information can be extracted by photointerpretation methods.
rs12_sm.jpg (1589 Byte) Enhanced Landsat TM image of the island of Santorini. It is a pseudocolor image and provides good color contrast of the volcano area. The area close to the volcano has higher temperature than its surroundings. Band 6 of the Landsat image represents heat radiation and it is given the red color, Band 4 which is in the near infrared (NIR) is given the color green and Band 1 which is visible blue is given the color blue.
