ABOUT NATURE

The first impression is of a rather desert island, dry and rocky, with a residual and scarce vegetation, wich has survived to fires , deforestation and human landmana-ging. But the brigh blue of the sea soon demands to pay more attention to the variety of the coastline, the clearness of the water, the richness of the colours of seaside ecosystem.

In the mountaineous zones and in the valleys somehow it is possible to discover spots of flowers, old beautiful trees and marvellous view of green landscapes quite well covered by a large variety of endemic species and trees planted in the past.
