I would send also my thanks to everibody who helped you and us during the course and my best wishes to Naxos: to become (from a white-blu island) a white-blu-green island and a real model of integrated substaineble developmente to put everything in a gracious graphic form.

Introduction

Coming back from Naxos and seeing the photos I took there, I feel I have to write something about it and give, in that way, my contribution to final evaluation of the course. I would have said something during the final discussion at the Academy, but i felt not enough confident on my English, so I prefer to follow this way, with the dictionary on the table and with more reflections and suggestions in my mind. I would also like to give the right importance to images of this beautiful island; surely they are not enough to express its whole environmental value, but i think they can give a good idea of it. If you find them interesting you can integrate the rich photo’s collection you have already got. One week is too short to know any place, but in Naxos I have found a close resemblance to the natural environment of my island, with less injuries of human activities, a lighter touristic impact and rather precious specific qualities. But one week is not too short to become fond of a place and to wish to be there again to know better its Nature, its Culture and its Society. I really appreciate the holistic vision wich caracterized Trianet Project and the course activities, so I will try to maintain the same spirit putting together words and pictures about the learning experience you have proposed. I would like to do it in a quite simple way, as if I were writing a travel’s diary, not being able to compose nice web pages or smart hypertexts. Besides let me put in evidence some environmental problemes I have noticed during my staying there and suggest a few ideas to cope with them. And finally thanks to my wife Teresa who helped me to put everything in a gracious graphic form.
