Born in Komiaki (Koronida) of Naxos Greece

Present position:

• Professor of the University of the Aegean, Dept. of Environmental Studies
• Director of the of Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSLUA)
• Chairman and Director of studies of the Department of Environmental Cartography

Education:

• Diploma of Rural and Surveying Engineering, NTUA, 1971
• MSCE University of Washington, USA, 1976, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
• Ph.D. University of Washington, USA, 1979, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.

Experience:

• Full professor of the University of the Aegean 1989 - present
• Full professor with tenure of the California State University, Fresno USA1984 - 1989
• Associate prof. of the Cal. State University, Fresno USA 1980 -1984
• Visiting professor (sabbatical leave) at the NTUA Greece 1987
• Consultant of Photogrammetry/Remote Sensing, G.I.S. and computer applications for:
• PG&E California USA.
• PASCO Corp. Japan
• Greek Public Electric Company
